About The Elevation
Formed towards the back end of 2019, The Elevation are a purpose built function band that have come together to rock dance floors up and down the UK. The band is made up of a collection of professional musicians that have played together in the private function, TV studio and recording/touring industry for the past 7 years, so whilst this band are ‘new’, on paper they’re some of the most experienced performers in the industry today.
Credits for members of the band include pit band work for the likes of ‘Strictly Come Dancing & The X Factor. Touring with Lawson, Dua Lipa, Craig David, Mel C and other household names as well as graduating from some of the most prestigious music colleges in the UK, namely The Royal Academy of Music, Birmingham Conservatoire, Leeds College of Music, BIMM, ACM Guildford and LIPA.
Although the band predominantly perform as a male 3-piece band, The Elevation have also added the option to perform with Male & Female vocals to give potential clients the option to add a little bit of variety to the standard entertainment package.
Prior to joining The Elevation, each of the members has played in function bands up and down the country, for agencies and band factories, in addition to their touring and recording work.
What they each have in common is that they love entertaining. Dan Jones, the band leader says this “The problem with a lot of function bands is that they think they’re Metallica playing at Wembley and they take themselves too seriously. We’re about having fun and packing dance floors. It’s not our gig so to speak, it’s your party or event and we’re really respectful of that. Our job is to entertain, not play the songs that we love, although we do love many of them. Lots of musicians get snobby about playing ‘Mr Brightside’ but there’s a reason people like it…because it packs dance floors and that’s what we’re all about. No airs and graces, we just want people to have a great time”
